McDonald's Global President and Chief Operating Officer resigned for reasons unknown

McDonald's executives have changed, and the president and chief operating officer have left Mike Roberts to leave the chain of fast food industry for 29 years. The reason is unknown.

According to Los Angeles, Reuters, McDonald's said on Wednesday that President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Roberts, a chain of fast food industry veterans with 29 years of experience, resigned.

McDonald's said Ralph Evans, the head of McDonald's North America, will succeed Roberts.

McDonald's did not give too much explanation for the departure of Roberts.

McDonald's stock closed on Wednesday at the New York Stock Exchange at $35.59. In the electronic trading after the close, McDonald's shares fell 0.8 percentage points.
