World famous coffee chain brand Starbucks opens in September in Xi’an

Last night, Sandra Taylor, global senior vice president of Starbucks, and Han Song, a member of the municipal party committee and deputy mayor, said that Starbucks decided to open Xi'an's first chain store on September 20 at the Century Golden Flower Shopping Plaza.

Sandra Taylor said that Starbucks is the world's leading specialty coffee retailer, roaster and brand owner, and has established more than 10,000 chain stores worldwide. For Starbucks, China is a huge market. She hopes that through the guidance of Starbucks, Starbucks will become the third community outside the family and the unit of Chinese people, and become an important part of people's daily life. She disclosed that on September 20th, the first chain store in Xi'an will be opened in Century Jinhua Shopping Plaza, and it is likely to open a second one in October. She stated that Starbucks started implementing a $5 million “Starbucks China Education Project” in China last year to help students and teachers in poor areas.
