The China Textile Economy Research Center released a research report at the forum that the eastern coastal textile industry is still in its heyday and is still very promising. The main argument is that these problems have existed for a long time. The textile industry is still developing rapidly and the momentum is good. It is the mode of industrial agglomeration that partially decomposes the production cost, solves some problems, and enhances the industry's ability for sustainable development.

“The textile industry in the eastern coastal areas is still alive, but with the changes in external factors, the development approach will be very different from the past.” The study recommended that the eastern coastal textile industry should sort out and integrate various existing advantages and factors. Make better use of it, speed up optimization and development, and build new advantages in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period:

First of all, the eastern region has the advantage of capital and can increase investment in environmental protection to solve the emission and treatment of pollutants. Only in this way can an enterprise survive.

Secondly, there is no resource advantage in the eastern region, and limited resources should be concentrated on the creation of high value-added end consumer goods such as clothing and home textile products, and large brands under the industrial cluster should be encouraged to drive the development of small enterprises.

In addition, the use of the advantages of the eastern region to develop both ends of the industry chain, one end is product design and development, the other is marketing, logistics, business, this specialized development model for Shanghai, Shenzhen and other central cities, in the processing and manufacturing base to In the Midwest, we must pay attention to the incomplete industrial chain there.

Xu Kunyuan, vice president of China Textile Industry Association, hopes that the textile industry, which is the main body and center of China's textile industry and the center of the eastern coastal area, will build new advantages, correctly understand the trend and positioning of the textile industry during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, and focus on strengthening high-tech and high- The development of value and differentiated products, using high technology to transform traditional industries. He believes that the textile industry in the eastern coastal areas must solve the following three levels:
