Christmas market shrinks Chinese toys cool

To a certain extent, China can be described as the "capital city" of the global toy manufacturing industry. However, the continued sluggish economy in Europe and the United States has caused the Christmas toy market to shrink this year, and “Made in China” is now facing a dismal prospect.

Foreign media reported this morning that over 80% of toys sold worldwide are from China. In 2010, China’s toy exports reached 10.8 billion U.S. dollars.

For many toy exporters, the second quarter is critical because it is precisely when Western countries place orders for Christmas to ensure that toys are delivered to the local market in December.

Foreign media survey: A Reuters survey shows that out of 18 small toy companies, two-thirds of companies believe this year's orders will not be more than last year, while another third of companies believe that this year will have one to two percent growth. However, these requirements mainly come from Brazil, India and other countries.
